Hey everyone! Good news: JustOnePlace will be returning next week! Things are going to be a bit different but a whole lot better.
The changes:
1. We have a new URL. While you’ll still find us at justoneplace.tumblr.com, we now have our very own dot-com and it’s rather exciting: www.appleshavewings.com
It (along with the site’s title, Just One Place) is taken from a poem by the wonderful Franz Wright (a link to which you can find in our footer).

2. Also, from now on we’re going to having a posting schedule! Rather than wondering when a JustOnePlace post is going to show up you’ll be able to expect a new piece every Wednesday. Of course, we all love surprises so there will still be some of those from time to time. We’re not limiting ourselves to Wednesdays!

3. We’re also offering prints of (most) of the photographs posted to the site. Most of them will be hand printed by S. on 8”x10” fiber paper. This means three things:

a. each image will be different sizes (as they tend to be different dimensions and they’ll need to fit to this area)
b. each print is going to be slightly different. Hand printing (in a darkroom, how exciting!) is not an exact process and there are variations and flaws. That just makes each print more exciting and special.
c. The prints will be a bit more expensive than your usual ink jet or laser printed image. Chemicals, film and paper all cost money but produce a wonderful and personal result.

If a print will not be made in the darkroom it will be noted on its sale page.
The prints will be signed and dated by S. and accompanied by hand-written copies of the poems by C. They will be dry-mounted and mostly archival.
The prints will be offered through Etsy. If you do not have an account with Etsy they are free and easy to create! If you don’t want to create one, though, you can email us here to place an order. We are accepting payment through paypal only.

4. Finally, thank you all for sticking around through our mutual creative slump. We hope the wait pays off.
